Pain management sessions are for clients who need assistance with a specific pain that is troubling them.
Often these injuries are “old” injuries, such as chronic ailments, side effects from a surgical procedure, or problems that long-term scar tissue has created in the natural path of the body.
The goal of pain management session(s) are to focus on your specific alignment, bring you initial relief to the specific area where you are experiencing pain, and then transfer you into the KMI 12-series in order to bring your posture into a more supportive alignment.
The body has a natural tropism for health; a state of chronic pain or illness is an unnatural state of being for the body. Long term scar tissue can result in pain, limited range of motion, and an inability to fully rehab the area. It is therefore important to break up existing scar tissue and realign the direction of its fibers so that they continue in the same direction as the muscle fibers.
Once this is accomplished, the directional force of the muscle is not interrupted by a knot of scar tissue. The aim of these sessions is to bring your body back into a state of harmony or balance.
