As a yoga teacher students frequently come to me in search of a way to heal injuries or re-pattern poor postural habits. I am constantly referring my students to Lauren. She knows the body and how to effect specific change in it so well that it’s like she’s playing an instrument she has studied and loved for years. That instrument is the human body. We should all know our bodies a little better. And what makes Lauren’s work so exceptional is that she doesn’t just provide a quick fix through massage but teaches, through her structural integration work, how to successfully correct whatever brought you to her in the first place. In that teaching she provides you with the knowledge and awareness to continue the process on your own. It’s definitely a true example of the “teach a man to fish” adage. For the students who have gone to her, the results are evident in my yoga classes. They have better alignment, relief from injuries, and smiles of gratitude on their faces.
